STRIDING TOWARDS EQUALITY

Brock McGillis is a former OHL and professional hockey player, and is the first openly gay men’s professional hockey player and a leading activist in the LGBTQ+ space.

His continuous work to shift the conversation around sports and the LGBTQ+ community earned him recognition as one of The Hockey News 100 most influential people in hockey for 2022.

Alongside international speaking engagements and educational content, Brock hosts a digital series with World of Wonder, the creator of Rupaul’s Drag Race.

Brock has a BA in Communication and Sports Communication from Laurentian University and is certified in EDI from Cornell University.

To create equity and inclusion in society by humanizing issues and teaching everyone that they have the ability to create shifts. To show folks tangible ways that they can create shifts and then releasing shift makers into society.
